Investigation of the EncryptPad CLI revealed the correct interface is `--pwd-fd` with the input file passed as a positional argument. A replacement, `encrypt_it`, was written from the project's shell template with EncryptPad-native defaults (AES256, OpenPGP) so its output opens directly in the EncryptPad GUI, and the old script was backed up via `backit` before being superseded.",
